Slab Shoring & Formwork Systems

Load-bearing shoring towers, props, beams and table form systems for slab casting.

Slab formwork must transfer the full weight of fresh concrete and the working load safely to the ground. System selection depends on floor height, slab thickness and pouring speed.

System components

  • Load-bearing shoring towers and frame systems
  • Adjustable steel props and tripod stabilisers
  • Primary and secondary beams
  • Table form units
  • Formwork panels and plywood support arrangement
  • Edge protection guardrails and fall-arrest platforms

The table form advantage

On wide, repetitive slabs, table forms significantly reduce erection labour. The unit is stripped as a whole, lifted by crane to the floor above and is immediately ready for use, shortening the time per floor.

Safety

In shoring systems the critical issues are axial load transfer and lateral stability. As tower height increases, complete installation of horizontal ties and bracing becomes mandatory. Erection diagrams and load tables are supplied with delivery.

  • Erection and dismantling sequences are supplied as written instructions
  • Edge protection guardrails are part of the system
  • Prop capacities are provided with load tables
  • Base plate solutions for checking ground bearing capacity

SSS

Floor height, slab thickness, slab area and crane availability are decisive. For high-rise repetitive layouts, table forms are usually preferable; for irregular layouts, a prop-and-beam system generally works better. Share your project details and we will provide a comparative recommendation.

The concrete must have reached a strength sufficient to carry its own weight plus imposed loads. This depends on concrete class, temperature and span; it must be decided jointly by the site manager and the structural engineer of record.
